How Are Wisdom Teeth Removed?
Wisdom teeth are typically removed through a minor surgical procedure performed by one of our oral surgeons, often under some form of sedation for comfort. The process begins with a consultation and imaging, followed by the procedure itself, which usually takes about 45 – 60 minutes, depending on the number and position of the teeth. During the surgery, a small incision may be made in the gum to access impacted teeth, and the teeth might be sectioned for easier removal. After removal, stitches may be placed, and patients are given detailed aftercare instructions to support healing and manage discomfort.
